Abrupt breaking hearing clacking in front end.

OK so when I break slowly I don't hear the clacking in the front end. When I break fast or abruptly I hear a click click. Or clack clack. I pop the hood and moved up and down the front end to see if it would maybe be a shock. I didn't hear anything. I pull in reverse and when I accelerate hard I hear the click click again, but when I break in reverse I don't hear it.

Updated. Tonight I went on a empty road and went off road a little bit to see if it was a maybe a strut or a tire rod. No noise. Then I drove back on the road. While on the road I decided to turn my wheel back-and-forth in deep sways. Stopped abruptly it went in reverse. The back and drive and stopped The noise when away. Welcome to owning a Chrysler I guess

youll come to find noises come and go, but with the winter coming im sure the noise will come back as the cold weather tends to bring out a good amount of noises

Re: Abrupt breaking hearing clacking in front end.

I would start by looking at the bushings on the sway bar where it mounts to the frame, as well as the sway bar end link bushings.

Checking the front differential bushings could also be worthwhile.

theres an adjustment you can make to the steering rack that tightens it up a bit
