Re: ABS, ESC, Traction Control, Service 4WD
Hi, I am new to this forum and noticed this thread whilst doing some research on what I believe are the same error codes I am getting on my 2006 3.0l CRD. I took my jeep to the dealership and was told the speed sensor was faulty and had it replaced. I was told at the time that if the issue occurred again they would need to strip the diff to investigate further.
I travel a lot for work and the first time this happened it was after I had been away for around three weeks. I used the car for a school run and it was fine but the next time out, whilst pulling out of the driveway I noticed the warning lights come on and my rear left wheel felt like it was locking up or not turning, almost as if I was in 4wd low. It was after these issues that the speed sensor was replaced.
I have just been away on another trip and my jeep wasn't driven for almost a month. Used it yesterday for a 20min trip and it ran like a dream but today when I went out, exactly the same issues came up again, exactly the same symptoms.
Reading around I have seen suggestions around cleaning the sensor connections and some other notes about low voltage being possible causes. Does anyone have a view on this or am I facing having the diff stripped as part of the diagnosis? I have been told this is a costly exercise so any suggestions are most certainly appreciated.
