Accident repair question

Hello,

Been reading for a while but just joined up and wanted to ask a question. Someone recently ran into the back of my new Grand Cherokee. It was pretty minor but required a new bumper and brake light. I've got the car back and it looks fine however when I checked the underside I noticed this white sealant/filler and was wondering if this was done as part of the repiars or if it was there originally? Any ideas guys? Cheers Rob.

Ah, good to know. Just wanted to make sure they hadnt tried to patch something up! They did fail to reconnect the blind spot sensors.... They are sending it back to the dealership to sort that one.

Re: Accident repair question

Idiots. The bumper will have to come off again, so check their work around the rear of the wheel arch... and that the clips along the bumper edge are intact / tight.

Re: Accident repair question

ok, thanks for the heads up. Theyare actually awaiting some clips from the US, they reckon they will take 4 weeks to get to Perth! Was funny when I questioned the blind spot sensors. The bloke said "the sensors are in the mirrors, that's a jeep fault, nothing to do with us mate". Great attitude.... I had to get the info off the jeep website to show him they were in the bumper.
