Question After Market Fog switch stays lit up when lights are on or off.

... Also stays on after vehicle has been shut off.

I assume this is something really simple and I should be able to figure this out myself but I am having issues still after a few days of trouble shooting.
I have a switch that stays powered on even after I turn my aftermarket fog lights off and shut off the vehicle. I do have HID conversion in the loop if that makes any difference. It is a really small LED so I assume it isn't going to drain the battery any time soon, but it is pretty annoying and I assume there is something that can be done. Is it possible I have a wire crossed on the switch? They are contura v series II. I would assume since it is turning on and off that this is not the case. Any suggestions for trouble shooting? I have aftermarket roof lights that do not have this issue and are wired up the exact same way. I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place.

Re: After Market Fog switch stays lit up when lights are on or off.

Seems like you have something crossed or wired up incorrectly. Check to make sure you have the proper voltages on the proper leads.

Re: After Market Fog switch stays lit up when lights are on or off.

If it is a lighted switch then that means it should only light when the power is running through it, if it is running at all times that means either the leads are touching something that is giving it that voltage or you wired the light part to a hot source.

Go check the circuit you added it to. Some circuits only get power when the key is on......but lots have power all time. If no wires are crossed then I vote its a circuit with power ALL THE TIME
