So a few months ago I was at a light did the lazee thing and threw it into N well when I went to out it into D it took about 10 seconds to decided to shift and ever since the it's been doing this ... Also since then it shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd ... Naturally the dealirship said this is all normal when I sent it in for service his wondering if anyone else has had anything happen to their tranny ... I really wanna get mine done as warrany work instead of having it go 2 weeks afte warranty is up but the dealership won't budge

Mine is due for it's six-monthly "disconnect the battery overnight" service. Harsh shifting and abnormal delays tell me so.
I urge you to try it before panic sets in.

If however you're having this kind of tranny issue pictured below, then run son, run like the wind!

The 3 times I've experienced something similar:

1) When the fluid was slightly low due to a leak in the cooler lines. Topped it up, lines fixed - $200

2) When I had the original transmission filters (there was a TSB years ago about this...I would hope all of the affected filters have long gone) - Under $100

3) When my transfer case was on it's way out. It felt like the tranny not going into gear, but if I listened really carefully I could hear the transmission shift into 1st, but the vehicle still not move. If I gave it a little gas, it would feel like a hard shift as the TC engaged - Even putting in a slightly used one myself cost over $800.

Hopefully it's none of the above, and just the adaptives require re-setting as others have suggested.

Good luck.
