Someone mentioned to me that the "idle settings" need to be reset, but I've never heard of that and don't think that's correct.
Getting really frustrated as there were some other things that I was hoping to get fixed this week and this problem just comes out of nowhere.

At this point, you may be better off taking it in somewhere to get it properly diagnosed - someplace that can read sensor data in real-time to see what is causing the problem. There are so many things that can cause idling problems, you may just end up randomly throwing parts at it and without any DTCs to guide you, data logging as the problem is occurring is your best chance to get it figured out.
I believe some of the 4.7s are known to have Throttle Position Sensor problems, that may cause behavior like this. I also believe they are fairly cheap and easy to replace. If you are going to try and tackle it yourself, this may be a good place to start....but I'm not sure.
