Has anyone else had this issue or come up with a fix? I have an 08 GC Limited with dual climate control. No noise at all when using A/C. When using heat, can turn the fan up to about 30% then a whistling sound starts and gets louder as the fan is turned up. I am about to tear everything apart guessing that it is one of the actuator doors not closing all the way and letting air pass by it (vibrating like a reed in a musical instrument). My dealer has replaced the blower motor under warrenty twice, but it is still making the noise.

I was just going to leave it until I can order a new Trailhawk, but the thing is driving me nuts!!

Thanks again Galaxie500! I spent about an hour working on it this weekend, and sure enough, it was the foam seal going around the heater core - see attached pictures. Pushed the seal back in place and covered everything in metallic tape - no more noise even with the heat on full blast.

It is a good thing that Jeep paid for 2 new blower motors under warrenty while the fix was this simple!:slapfight: No more going to that dealer for any more repair work.
