Blower motor noise after jumps.

I was beating on my gc driving through a field and over small hills. Now my blower sounds like a turbo and then makes no noise. It sounds like something is in there. I dropped the glove box and can hear it. Can i open a cover or lid instead of that giant box with everything in it
Thanks

Re: Blower motor noise after jumps.

I watched ur video on YT... mine is doing the same thing but its not like a turbo but like a steady rubbing noise... like when u used to put a clothespin and a baseball card on the spokes of your bicycle..... I want to get to the blower and look and see whats stuck in there... sounds like somethings stuck in yours as well.... I got the bottom panel under the glovebox off... I cant see how to take off the glove box itself.... such a pain working upside down!!!

Re: Blower motor noise after jumps.

There's a little arm on the right. Unclip it. There's two cushion
Catchers on the top of the glove box. Pull those down. The bottom just pops off.
Something tells me if you couldn't figure out this 30 second process you aren't getting the blower motor out either.

Re: Blower motor noise after jumps.

OK mr smarty pants... guess what.. I have a 2006 Grand Cherokee.. didnt see any arm on the right... but it didnt matter.. I could see the blower motor after I took off the bottom panel under the glovebox... unclipped the wire and removed the 3 bolts holding the blower and saw that a ciggarette box wrapper was stuck in the blades... removed that re installed the motor and PRESTO.. my issue is RESOLVED... something tells me that if you couldnt figure out how to get your blower out by now your a beautiful man!

Re: Blower motor noise after jumps.

For whoever find this on the search feature.
There's two philips screws to remove the bottom panel. It pops off after that but part of the trim in wedged behind the carpet. I removed the little foot light because it is sort of in the way. There's three torx screws holding the blower motor in. Once they are out give it a little wiggle and it should fall out. I found some nice
Twigs in there.

Re: Blower motor noise after jumps.

Its not going to make sense any more but I still had to leave your post Matt ha ha...

Thanks for following up guys, crap in the blower is a common cause for blower motor noise, good information here, lets try to keep it to just the good information.
