I hear a lot about the throttle delay-is it true? Is there a fix?

WOW - this seems like such a problem I may not want a hemi. We buy the HEMI for power and dont get it? Is there any sure fix for the throttle lag? I dont want to shift down or go to tow-haul all the time! Can anyone reply?

Not sure what "problem" you are referring to . I experience no noticeable throttle lag with mine.

If you keep your throttle body clean and the EGR valve is in good condition, I think you'll be fine.

If your EGR valve is no good, or your throttle body is caked thick with oil, then yes, throttle response can suffer...

There is also a procedure to re-calibrate the electronic throttle control - never had to do it, but maybe one (or all) of the above are the source of the problems people have been having?

Re: buying a 2009-2010 GC LTD Hemi in next couple months

If you google jeep hemi throttle lag you will find a ton of very irritated owners with this problem. even posted on here-I am just new and may not find the solution.
I have heard CAI, DiabloSport, Exhaust all HELP but still have the problem. Now I see Sprint Booster-sounds like snake oil to me but - I dont know.
I was hoping to get a GC for the AWD and wanted a hot rod at the same time. Am very disheartened and am looking at other makes now. Someone please give me a solution! Have wanted a GC ltd for years and finally can afford an 09-10.
