Climate Control NO air output...Why?

First time posting....

Yesterday I tried to replace the bulbs on my climate control module. I failed to solder it correctly and messed up the green board. I went to the junk yard today and bought a new climate control module.

I installed the new module today.

The lights in the CC module turn on in the new one but the AC and recirc light now dont turn on and the blower does not put out any air at all. I checked the wiring to the blower motor resistor and it is not burned up.

This does not have dual control. I really need help because this whole ordeal is making me . Any help would be great!

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

Not to mention the airbag warning light comes on now too.

Is it the blower motor ? But why would simply changing the climate control panel cause the blower motor to fry?

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

did you replace it with the same exact one? did you also replace the information center bar? installing the wrong one will trigger a airbag light

I think you need a junction block, the interior fuse panel... There is an internal non replaceable ignition run-start relay that feeds power to the blower motor and the ocm (airbag related) causing the airbag light... With the key on gently tap on the junction block with something hard and you will probably be about to get it working for that trip.

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

I Replaced the climate control module with the exact same one.

05jrc- other than tapping it is there a permanent fix? I wasn't sure if it was like the mini relays under the hood and could just replace the relay instead of the entire junction box.

I clearly stated I felt you needed a new junction block, that would be the repair. An ignition switch would not cause the airbag light, but this relay not working would cause all your symptoms... And as I also stated, the relay is internal, out may be something if you were good with soldering you may br able to dismantle the JB and possibly find an identical relay online that you could solder in... But I cannot say for sure.

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

Right on just wanted to clarify I have been looking online and havent seen any mentions of a ignition run-start relay. I appreciate your help.

I guess Ill have to look online for a new junction box and how to replace. Any suggestions on where i could find info on replacement?

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

This part?

05 06 07 08 09 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE FUSE BOX RELAY JUNCTION BOX | eBay

I've never been inside one, but my gut tells me that it's a relay soldered to a printed circuit board. Probably made by a company called Omron or one of the other big players? I've replaced some relays on PCBs, it's not easy. Especially with lead-free solder...

Nope... That one is under the hood, the one I'm talking about is the interior fuse pannel.

Re: Climate Control NO air output...Why?

Would you think that I could simply replace the fuse panel entirely? There is a 05 jgc at the salvage yard that I could get it off of.
