cooling help!

Ok so i have a 2006 wk 4x4 3.7 with 76000 miles. so my problem is that i was stopped at idle for a about 5 mins and i could see the temperature gauge went up so that it was straight up in the middle. so i turned it off and the temp went down. Got home put some more coolant in it was just a the "add" mark so i just put about a inch in there. well this morning i went to make sure that there was no air in the system and i let it warm up the fan only kicked on one time for about a min and it stayed at the right temp for a while then the fan turned off and the temp went to the middle agin and the fan did not turn on agin ? can the relays be old or something? so if you could help me out thanks!

Re: cooling help!

The engine fan will not stay on when your Jeep is on without the ac on. It will be on when the AC is on constantly. It will cycle on and off depending on the engine coolant temperature. I posted a response in the newer thread you made that might help clarify. electric fan/over heating
