CRD turbo lag

During my 10000km servce I told the dealer that my CRD suffered from turbo lag. There answer was bad luck it can not be fixed. I have had many diesel and none have had this problem. Any other 2014 grand Cherokee CRD owners have this issue.

Re: CRD turbo lag

I think all diesels do, I tend to drive in sport mode as it shuts Eco mode.

Re: CRD turbo lag

First thing to do it turn OFF Hill Start Assist, many, myself included, find this is a huge help.

Re: CRD turbo lag

I got the same answer from Cricks Mansfield - cannot improve the turbo lag at low speed.
Also I think this affects cruise control - when using the steering wheel buttons to increase set speed the engine lags....them vroooom! a huge burst of power propelling the car way ahead - so then I have to back it off with the other button. This is not fixable either.
I've got the MY14 built in 2013. have they improved throttle control since then?
