jdubgrand is on a distinguished road
Exclamation dash flickering after HID install

i have a 05 jeep grand cherokee and after installing my HIDs if i dont have them on all the time my dash goes crazy lights come on rpm and mph gauge goes nuts. but when they are on its completely fine. not to mention when i turn the car off one light flickers for a minute

LOL!! Yep! Mine did the same thing! Tach and speedo jumping up and down, lights flashing on the dash, clicking sounds from behind the dash, computer throwing codes. It was quite a sight to behold! Mine would also flicker after I turned them off. I was actually pulled over because they were flickering so bad driving home one morning, they said I was impersonating an emergency vehicle!!!!

Get the relays like the guys said. It'll take care of all the problems!

no they plug into the lights and then attach to the battery and ground. a monkey could install them lol

Same thing happened to mine its because the Jeeps computer system dosent reconize the HIDS. You have to buy the HIDS that are actually made for the Jeep. i paid 60$ for the ones that didnt work but the ones i got that read the computer were 120$ and they dont mess with any of the electronics.

that is not true at all, you only need a relay
