Dash lights

Having issues with my dash lights blinking on and off and gauges coming on and off. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I'm thinking I have a relay going bad.

Re: Dash lights

I have the same or similar problem all the dash lights come onspeed and tach go to 0 and the headlights and tail lights go out. If i shut the engine down and restart it the problems goes away. It is happening more often now. It will happen on the highway which is becoming concerning. If anyone has had this problem and knows of the fix it would be appreciated.

Thanks Ron

Hello guys I had same problem in my 99 ltd. Remove the storage tray in the console. This exposes the BCM which controls things like this. There ifs a ground wire coming from the bcm and it ground roughly 4 inches away. Take that ground loose, sand, clean, reinstall. This should fix your problem...

Wrong Jeep generation, both of the above are WK's (2005-2010)

Re: Dash lights

Have your battery/charging system tested, along with checking connections at the battery terminals. If the problem is happening regularly your headlamp multifunction switch might be acting up. If the switch is usually in the "A" position, try running your Jeep with it in the manual mode, the exact opposite if you usually use headlamp control manually, move the switch to "A". I had the same symptom on my 2005 GCL a few years back, new battery took care of the problem.
