Depending on the type of code reader you used, there may be stored codes that you don't have access to. Not all readers can read ABS codes, and even fewer can read manufacturer specific codes stored in individual modules.
Most often, what you report has been traced back to a wheel speed sensor, but without pulling the codes you're shooting in the dark. If the lights were set, there will be a code stored somewhere.
