Differential Bearing Noise

I recently resolved a long outstanding vibration problem with my 2005 GC 5.7, which required the replacement of both front and rear drive-shafts plus the engine isolators. My question is, with a prolonged vibration problem, is it likely that this would have damaged the bearings in the front / rear differentials? Whilst the vibration problem is resolved, the drive train does appear noisy in general.
