Drivers side and 3rd brake light issue

Hey Guys,
I was driving home today and told that my brake lights are only coming on when pressing on the pedal (headlights on so all should be on). I had some spare 3157 bulbs lying around and decided to put them in and try it out, still no luck, they only turn on when pressing on the brake. Strange part is the passenger side is always on and gets brighter when pressing on the brake (as it should).

Any ideas on what could be going on? I was thinking it was possibly a fuse issue but not sure where they would be located (new to jeeps).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

using a meter see if you have power and ground

meters are cheap enough not a bad idea to own one nice ones are less than 50 dollars you can get a cheepie for 10 - 15 dollars

heres a starting place on how to use a meter



if you click the youtube tab at the bottom of the frame it will take you to youtube and there you will find other choices on vids to watch
