Drivetrain "slack"???

Hi JEEP!! New here but well skilled. Heres my problem. Driving 5-10 and letting off throttle and getting back on like NORMAL i feel and sometimes hear and thud and a jerk forward almost like there is slack in the driveline. i know i have bad pinion bearings and the seal is leaking as well. what i have done so far after really noticing the issue was to go to the dealership and have the tranny flushed and see if there was an update for the NAG1 after seeing several posts about a hard downshift issue, which i also have. no update. after seeing that the tranny never needs service and that the problem had not gone away i was heated. also they told me that a code had come up for the front left wheel sensor and that was causing problems. (idiot). after changing it,still same issue. HELP! i was thinking about getting tranny filters done.vg

Re: Drivetrain "slack"???

Its hard to say without looking at the vehicle, to be quite honest some slack is normal, the HB durango is VERY common for a thud on throttle apply. If you have failing pinion bearings I would start with the known bad before chasing something that is VERY hard to pin down.
