Droning sound occurs when driving??

Hey guys so I've been looking through the forums to see if anyone has had the same issue and so far this is the closest i've come to finding it.

Rear moaning over 55mph

But this guy states his droning sound is coming from the rear, but mine is coming from the front of the jeep it sounds like. Everything sounds normal while driving until i reach 55-65mph. That's when the droning sound starts. In the thread above, guys said to replace the rear pinion seal and do a flush and the sound would go away. Does anyone have any input on if this would fix my issue? I'm also going to be replacing my front differential pinion mount and bushings to fix the "clunk" sound when shifting from reverse to drive as well. But I haven't heard anyone say that their jeeps had a droning sound.

Re: Droning sound occurs when driving??

If it is a whining differential it can either be the front or the back. The rear is more likely, but they will both whine.

Have you checked the diff fluid condition and level?
