Dtc p0480 & p0481

I have both the above DTCs described as "Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit Malfunction" and "Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Malfunction". Any ideas how to approach these? Also, I would like to check the fuse, but it seems difficult to pull out, is there a special technique to get it out? It is one of the large, red 50 Amp fuses.
