exhaust to manifold bolts

so i got the bolts holding the cam gears to the cams off and we got all 14 head bolts loosened but from what i have see the easiest way to get the heads off is to take the exhaust manifold off with the head. i was looking at the bolts and they look very rusted. i was thinking about using a sawsaw and cutting them off and just replacing them but i want to be sure first...again thank you

Re: exhaust to manifold bolts

I would soak them with wd-40 or a similar product, before giving up and cutting them.

Re: exhaust to manifold bolts

If you try to loosen them TIGHTEN THEM FIRST!!!! ALWAYS with exhaust hardware break it loose going tighter then loosen, this combine with rust penetrant is amazingly successful, not 100% but it works WAY better than just trying to go looser.
