flakey electric; radio, heated seats, backup radar

Recently I noticed that the heated seats do not work and the light doesn't show on the button. In addition, very frequently, the radio will shutdown restart, also the backup radar proximity lights (at the top of tailgate inside) will all flash. These symptoms all occur at the same time, really frequently now.

I have heard that the relays can be a culprit. Since so many components are bouncing(resetting) at the same time I am thinking it has to be a major bus component, a power relay, fuse, bad ground, etc.

Also the airbag disable would light on the dash. Not sure if it was because my 70 lb daughter was sitting in the pass seat, but that has never happened before.

I don't have a circuit diagram so I'm at a loss to trace the source of this problem. I have changed the ignition switch, not the lock cylinder, to solve the xmas tree dash with success. So that's not likely, imo.

Anyone have any guidance to which distro fuse/relay affects: radio, seats, backup radar ? Would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.

EDIT: adding some more info for ref, I see there is an underhood fusein power distro

P'haps I will swap with F12 and see if the prob goes away.

EDIT2: Nope, nothing wrong w Fuse8. Noticing the radio bounces a lot, but backup radar doesn't go crazy as much.
One more item, driving w highbeams on. When this electrical event occurs, my highbeams turn off, lolz. dis is fsck'ed

Battery is relatively new, shoulda mentioned that, had an optima yellow top that crapped 1 month beyond warranty. No more optima for me.

I wish I knew where all the grounds were. This seems to be an internal (body) circuit, because all the things that intermittently dump are interior items.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have a copy of the cd svc manual, but for the life of me couldn't get it to run on any new version of explorer. So I have to install a copy of win xp in vmware, what a PITA.

EDIT: Got the FSM working, yes it requires ie 6.

There is a front control module, between the fuse block and the battery that touches many of the interior functions including headlights. This must be the culprit, either it's ground, harness or otherwise. I will try to post some excerpts from the fsm if possible.

Bumping up this old thread. I'm having all the same problems! Really weird. I'll add to the list that my cruise control wont work...

I just bought the jeep (2010 Grand Cherokee Laredo). Guy who sold it told me about radio but said it was a common problem and could be replaced for a few hundred bucks. Also showed me cloudy backup sensor but I frankly didn't care about that. Seats got hot first time I test drove the car but won't even turn on now. Didn't test cruise when I bought the car.

I was going to just change the radio head unit and had budgeted for that, but with all these problems I'm thinking something else is up!
