Frozen Jeep

20 degrees out here in New York and I couldn't get my doors open lol. Plowing through the snow is always fun

Re: Frozen Jeep

I am also in New York (Rockland County). My daughter had the same problem with her Ford Explorer last winter. We solved that issue by spraying the door rubber with silicone. We first used Pam cooking spray which also worked.

Re: Frozen Jeep

You may want to spray the rubber with silicone as a part of regular mtce to prevent the doors from sticking during frigid weather. I did not mean to imply that it should be sprayed while the door is frozen closed.
