Halleluyah! Its fixed!

some of you might remember my previous thread about how the car was shifing funny and had a lack of power. it felt like driving manual tranny uphill and not downshifting.

think my tranny is going...

i decided to do some work on the jeep this weekend. spark plugs, clean TB, and tranny service. i dropped the tranny pan first so it could be draining while i changed the plugs. halfway thru the passenger side bank i noticed the head cover was smutty around one of the plug channels. i slid the socket into the hole and noticed the plug was already loose. hmm, thats strange. pulled it out and this is what i found. one of these plugs is different.

damn ground electrode broke off, hopefully it shot out the exhaust.

sucked that i had already dropped the pan, i think this was the problem the whole time. so i changed all the plugs, installed the 2 new tranny filters, and filled it back with 6.5 qts of castrol atf4+. also cleaned the TB.

fired it up and man, its like a brand new hemi. thing purs, has amazing acceleration again, zero hesitation. no more manual shift! even climbed a huge hill in OD going from a dead stop and didnt skip a beat. im like a kid with a new toy again. hard to believe that little piece of metal can cause such a headache.

Re: Halleluyah! Its fixed!

i used to have the P0306 code, or whatever the random misfire code was years ago but that quit. it hasnt thrown a code in over 6 months, and it only started acting real bad about 2 months ago. maybe my CEL is out.
