Heater issue on 2005 GC CRD.

On our RHD 2005 GC CRD 3.0L the heater works okay on manual, but if you switch it to "Auto" on the left hand side of the climate control with the right hand selector to body and feet, you need to have the temp control right over to the red dot to feel any benefit, otherwise it is cold air blowing in
If you move it only one notch down, no more heat and you freeze your butt off. If you leave it on the red dot after awhile it gets too hot to tolerate. No fault code is showing.
Any one experience similar and is there a fix? Thanks.

They work okay initially and then the driver's side gets cold whilst passenger side stays warm. Only way to get heat to drivers side is to turn it over as far as possible to the right (red dot) but after a while gets too hot. If you move it one notch down, cold air again.Software is up to date.

Ay update? Our heater is acting weird too. It doesn't get hotter when I turn up the temp.

A software update cured the problem. Unfortunately I had to pay for the update as the car is 7 years old!
