When he showed me the part it said ECM/PCM module..... and I don't have a diesel...so yeah not sure about that statement

i believe so, today was driving to pick up my g/f just middle of road trans slips in netural. noticed glitch saw warning message transmission over temp..
won't go out of 2nd gear i been reading these forms. assume need to get something done i hope they find problem right, if not will go for 5.7l hemi jeep into 2006 model year.
assume not a problem with ppl who owns the 5.7 hemi jeep any of out ther own hemi jeep have any trouble at all? i assume has different kind of tranny.

please let me know asap thanks

update, thinking take different dealer and see what they are sayig....

The ECM and PCM serve similar function. They are just used on different applications. If it was referred to as an ECM it wouldn't be completely inaccurate, again they serve similar functions but it would by the book not be the right term.

update it was dtc code 717 and 2467 not sure. the main board failure connection broken, so had new one installed. it was a $1k job now drives nice and new, recent towing to camp for 4 hour drive pulling 3k camper, engine and trans responds very well.
