Yesterday i replaced my Pioneer AVH-P3400BH with the new AVH-X5500BHS. Easy swap out since its the same wire harness. But upon installing the new radio I notice the interior lights werent shutting off. I drove around a bit and they started to blink at diffrent brightnesses... (by the way i have the full LED interior conversion)

Finally on my way home they stoppped blinking, i pulled up to my house, opened the door and "pop"- there goes the #12 Fuse near the steering column. Radio stayed on and door window controls stayed lit. had to pull the battery to turn it off...

I replaced the fuse a couple times and it blew immediately. Finally I pulled the dome lights, replaced the fuse.. It worked. I then replaced the dome lights and it continues to work, but with the blinking.

Anybody know whats going on?....

Thanks in advanced..

Figured it out... Its a resistance issue, I replaced the footwell light with a standard bulb and it immediately went away. I then placed the led bulb back in and it started flashing..I've heard of the domes staying on at 10%, but not complete flashing..

So im going to put a resistor in the interior light circuit.. just not sure what resistor to use.. ha
