P1389 means that the powertrain control module (PCM) is not seeing power from the auto shutdown relay (ASD). This can be a problem with the ASD relay, fuse, wiring or PCM.
So first check fuse 6 in the power distribution center (PDC). This fuse and relay panel sits just in front of the brake booster unit under the hood. If the fuse is ok, then swap the ASD relay with the blower motor relay, which sits just next to it in the PDC. The PDC cover shows the positions of the relays and fuses.
