I know this is a WK forum but I got it on my WK2. I actually noticed it when I test drove mine. I am assuming it has to do with the valves and cold oil since it seems to go away at normal operating temperatures. I posted 'cause I was curious if this was the same tick and had spanned the model years.
+1. Particularly its the MDS lifters. These lifters bleed down in quite literally no time at all. Especially with the thin oil we have to use for them.
After installing new plugs, cleaning TB, installing catch can, PCV, etc.. the tick was still just as loud as ever. I installed a new EGR a few weeks ago, and the hemi tick is now finally gone. I did not go with an OEM unit, as the price from the dealer is 3 X what everyone else charges. The new EGR also made the idle smoother, and tip in throttle response is also improved. THere was also no CEL code for the EGR.

I have the Hemi tick also when first started. 2005 Limited. Question? What specific brand of EGR did you purchase? Info for the future. Thanks in advance.
