hesitation when starting out in drive

Hi all, I'm new to this forum so please have a little patience.
I have an 05 Grand Cherokee limited with 4.7. My issue has been happening maybe a few times a month and has happened a couple of times in the same day. I don't get a check engine light, so no code. Here is what happens.
This only happens when I start my Jeep. When I put my jeep into drive there and start to accelerate at a normal pace at about 1000 rmp's the engine has about 3-5 second hesitation. The rpm's start to decrease the sound of the engine stops and even though I am still pressing on the gas pedal. After a few seconds or so my jeep will come alive and be fine. It Does not happen when I come to stop at a red light or stop sign or in traffic, only when I first start my vehicle. I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor a few weeks ago and that has not corrected the problem. Any Suggestions???
Thanks,
Eric

Re: hesitation when starting out in drive

I'm wondering if any other lights are coming on intermitently? ABS? ETC? Traction Control? Have any other of these lights come on during this time?

Re: hesitation when starting out in drive

sounds like a filter concern, possibly a split filter. A service may fix you right up.
