HID's not working!!!!!

Ok so i was hooking up my new SRT headlights to my 08 laredo. I had to switch the stock wiring harness thing onto the new housings and everything works fine, everything except the HID's... I believe i have everything connected properly. The question i had was are the OEM ballasts which plug directly into the headlight side sensitive? Meaning is there a right or wrong side for the ballasts... If not then ebay screwed me.

1st jeep is on a distinguished road
Not sure if this helps you or not, but when I hooked up my HIDs from xenon depot, there WAS a correct way to hook up to the factory harness. Both my factory wires were the same color and it was tuff to distinguish which was pos and neg. A tester would have been super helpful but I didn't have one, so it was trial and error

Re: HID's not working!!!!!

IIRC there's only 1 way to plug the OEM ballast in the HIDs.
My guess is the relay harness.

Re: HID's not working!!!!!

Damn, i have no idea what i problem is. The relay power light was on and it was working. And i checked to see where i had power, and i had power all the way past where i sodered the wires. All i know is that the relay works, the high beams work, the running lights work, the blinkers work, but the HID's wont light. Not sure if it's a bulb issue. But they are brand new...or a ballast issue(used)

Re: HID's not working!!!!!

I got the passenger HID working. The problem was a bad connection between the ballast and the slot for the ballast. So i went to do the same to the drivers side HID and blew the ballast..... hopefully i can buy a new one and not have that happen again. (P.S. be careful when you but aftermarket headlight, sometimes the wiring and stuff isn't as good as it should be.)
