Ignition keys??

I just bought a 2005 rocky mtn. I want to get a couple more spare keys. I have gotten transponder keys in the past for my Fords. I purchased blanks from Street keys on Ebay had them cut and programed them myself. Is it that simple for Jeeps? Any secrets or tips? Thanks Jay

If you have two keys already you are golden...programming info is readily available just search jeep key programming in Google. Key fobs to the best of my knowledge require dealer progamming with a drbIII

Think Outside !- No Box Required.

Re: Ignition keys??

If you have two keys already, you can program up to six more I believe. It's in your owners manual for how to do it. If you don't have an owners manual, this website should have pdfs. If you only have one key, you get to pay the dealer lots of money...

Re: Ignition keys??

If you only have one key call a local locksmith first. At my shop it's a little over $50 for programming with a computer into the OBD port.
