Plug wires for something else. I checked them out online. On amazon where you found them. There was no mention of what they go on.

Look. I know you have your mind set on plug wires. Truth is our engines just dont have them. The ignition coil sits on the spark plugs. There is no need for plug wires. The coils themselves are controlled directly by the PCM, thats the harness that connects to the coils.

If we had plug wires i would have the best high performance ones out there for it. Heck i barely found aftermarket coils for it lol

Bro if you look at the engine coil, there's a plug that connects to the coil that goes to the other side of the engine for the other spark plug. This is what these wires do. They attach to the side of the ignition coil and run to the passenger side and attach to the other spark plug. I have removed the coils before and know for a FACT that these attach to the coils themselves and run to the other side. You have an 09 right? Because we might have different engine set ups if you have an 06 or something

Check out the pics. The 08 one, which you have, has a bolt and a connector. The 09 one has a connector and also a tube which a spark plug wire connects to like mine and goes to the other side, needing only 3 coil packs instead of 6. They changed the coil pack design for 09

They all use 6 coils from 02 to 11. Yes they improved the design but its still 6 seperate coils. I cant tell you how many times ive ripped the 3.7 appart doing mods lol. From 08 to 11 is the same coils

Yes. They look different becausd of the improvements to the manifold. If you look the bolt on the coil has a sleeve? That anchors the intake manifold to the heads. The electronics are the exact same as mine

Yes it does but then I have a spark plug wire on each coil that runs to the other side of the engine. It connects on the other side of the coil which is why I ordered these wires to see if it would help solve my issue

Re: jeep surge idle

I donīt know this 3.7L engine, but i know that on the newer 4.7L engines that they put two plugs per cylinder and a spark plug wire runs from each coil to the respective second plug. They probably did the same with the newer 3.7L? I only would expect a worse running engine when moisture would cause the high voltage to bleed away (partly), and not a higher rpm, but who knows, its worth a try.

The 3.7 in all years has 12 plugs....unless they came out with a waste spark thing in 09 that interconects the coils. Seems like its over complicated to me. Cant really make a coil on plug system more efficient i mean the gen 1 and gen 2 (with the 16 plugs) still gets the same mileage. It was the revised intake and tunes that got the power up in them
