Re: Keyless-Go

The inner ring on the dash could of been illuminated..not the button itself. But anyway, not that big of a deal to me...It could be worse..like the previous generation 4runner didnt have illuminated window or power buttons except for the driver.

The 4x4 switch in my '06 Tacoma (same platform as the previous-gen 4runner) isn't lit. Talk about a horrible thing to not have backlit.

Re: Keyless-Go

I agree that a cool LED ring around the button would have been cool..... Maybe for 2012.....

Re: Keyless-Go

guys I only had the car for a short amount of time and I can push the button on and off without even looking day or night, I don't think you need to have a light on it

Re: Keyless-Go

So, I'm looking through the GC's brochure this morning and low and behold there is a photo of an Overland's interior showing that the start/stop button is backlit.

If you do have the brochure, it's the page featuring a photo of a White Gold Overland in the woods and above that, a photo of the interior. In that photo you can clearly see a backlit start/stop button.

Re: Keyless-Go

I found the photo on line. I wish I could enlarge it more but it still can be seen that the start/stop button is backlit. It's more obvious in the brochure.

Re: Keyless-Go

The question now is, why are so many not functioning? Could this have been on pre-production vehicles and not gone to production?
I'll have to drop by the dealer and ask with a brochure in hand to show them.

Re: Keyless-Go

Buick's Enclave has had decontenting of various interior lights, such as in the glovebox, as the model years have gone by.

Seems to be a popular way to reduce costs in Detroit. Maybe they all hang out at the same cantina.
