So I've got this weird knocking from the front end of my 06 wk and I was wondering if anyone has heard this or know what it may be coming from it does it when I lightly press the brakes and sometimes when I'm turning
Not sure where you see those chips, but i won't expect the problem with the caliper pistons. Worn caliper sliding pins or worn caliper sliding pin receiver hole can make a clunking sound when braking.
Just try to rock the caliper to feel if there is a lot of play on it.
