Re: leaking sunroof

This is what I did.

05 4.7L 46,*** no warranty.

Grab a bottle, fill with water, go up to rough. See if all four drain hoses are working properly.

You either have a popped off drain line, clogged drain line, or your sunroof is out of line 60 fix in michigan.

IF your sunroof is hitting at all or just rough to open it is prolly out of line. You can hold the vent button for five seconds and it does and auto adjust, but if that is isn't enough take to dealer ship to re-align.

If line is working properly you can replace, not to expensive but PIA job, but defiently do-able.

Re: leaking sunroof

So ya my extended warranty just ended and I had the homelink leak twice and both times it was covered. Now That my warranty is expired I get the A-pillar leak. I will try the vent recalibrate. It was pouring rain today and yea just my luck another freaking thing goes wrong with this thing.

Thumbs down Re: leaking sunroof

I have a 2011 GC Overland with 1000 miles. Mine was leaking through the sunglass holder into my cupholder. Took it to the dealer this week and they found the drain tube completely missing. Part is on order. Very disappointing. Here is a video

Re: leaking sunroof

grrr this leak is driving me crazy. Took it to the dealership and had them do all the TSB's that are out there that are suppose to fix the leak. Once they did all those they said they water tested it and the leak was fixed. Fast forward to today when it rained and guess what, the leak was back. So my guess is they didnt water test the jeep like they said they did. Back to the dealership it goes for the 2nd time now for this stupid leak. Like I said I had them do all the TSB's that are out there that were suppose to fix the leak so does anyone have any other ideas of why it is leaking from the A pillars and the home link area?

Re: leaking sunroof

Does the recalibration work for a 2000 Grand Cherokee?

So my sunroof hasn't been fully closing and recently we've had some rain here and surely enough it was leaking from the a-pillar and the light dome. I read through this entire thread and figured doing what RyanB did. Believe it or not, it worked and the sunroof sits flush now!

Now if only it can rain so this can be tested!

Dealership avoided!!

Response to old post - but.. Did you try opening the sunroof yourself and taking some water and pouring it in the drain channel to see if the water is in fact draining properly???

Re: leaking sunroof

Hello All - I have been experiencing some of the same issues in my 2007 GC Limited. I have been to the dealer three times...two for the drains and one for a reflash of the sunroof control module. One thing unique to my situation is that the water can from time to time make it all the way back into the cargo area traveling along the headliner which has fried my amp. I plan to try the fix found in this TSB (sorry, its from another site...not sure if that is allowed or not) http://www.wkjeeps.com/tsb/tsb_wk_2305005.pdf and will also try cleaning the gunk from along with windshield as suggested in an earlier post. I will report back if anything works.
