Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

Is there an EVIC hack for the door/key chime (2008)? I'd like to disable it.

Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

I believe it is different with '05'-06', '07, and '08-'10, but to completely disengage the ESP on my '07; shift into neutral and hold down the ESP button until you hear a chime and "ESP OFF" appears in the EVIC screen. With the ESP on with a 4" lift, I could not do a u-turn, the Jeep would come to a shuddering halt. With it off, completely, absolutely zero input from the ESP.

Are you aware of the EGR Module available from Superlifts that corrects the ESP for their 4" lift?

Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

Yes, I do have one installed now. However, I lifted my Jeep a few months before AEV put the EGR on the market, so I made do with the afore mentioned "little trick/hidden feature". For those with WKs that have a 2"-3.5" lift or have a 4" lift but do not wanna shell out for a EGR module, I figured this could be a useful tip.

Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

Heres a good one that my friend told me about from his Dodge forum...

If you turn your key to the on position and take your seat belt, click it in and out 3 times real quick... this should eliminate the ANNOYING beeping noise from passengers that dont click their seat belts!!

I did it on my Jeep so I know it works... but I also remember it taking me several tries to get it right. After you do it, there should be a single ding and you turn your car off... then start it and go for a test drive with someone sitting in the front without their seat belt on to test it out. ( no i will not be responsible for the idiot that crashes and tells me its my fault he didn't have his seat belt on )
