Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

The REC engineering screen is very easy to access and look around without bricking your unit... I do it when I am board and chillin in the car, not because there is anything new or super cool but simply because its something to tinker with. Just do it, you can look without changing any settings... You hold the key

Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

I found something out on the JU forum a few months ago, but haven't seen it here on JG. When you have the tranny *chuckle* down-shifted and want to go back to "D", you can hold the shifter (wiggle stick, slap stick, auto stick, tiptronic, etc...) to the right for two seconds and it will automatically pop you up. Kinda nice if you have been wheelin' in 1st-Low or you have passengers that might think something on your WK is broke. Unless you like the motions of popping the shifter up a few times. It works the other way and will automatically downshift for you if you hold it to the left. Supposedly, it picks the "appropriate" gear for the speed, but I tried mine at 40MPH and it dropped me into 1st with a loud thud. Probably my worn out front isolator bushings. I won't be doing that again. Have fun with this!
