Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

The unlock window thing didnt work on my 05 but I did get the EVIC to work once but cant do it again ill try later. It said somethin about the electronic brake system, transmission temp over, traction sys disabled, and check gauges.

I also found somethin else out, if you hold down the compass/temp button on the bezel for anout 5 secs the word variance comes up and under it is an = sign with a #. Anyone know what that means? I kinda googled it n I think it has somethin to do with the calibration of the compass.

In my 08, the manual shows a map with numbers of 1 to 12 I think associated to vertical, curving lines. I am supposed to, in my EVIC, enter the number that coresponds witht he geographical area I am in. Like a 4 for Alberta and a 5 for Arizona. Helps the compass assoicate where you are I guess.

Works on my '07 WK

To remove seatbelt chime
1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and fasten the drivers seatbelt.
2. Start engine, and wait for Seat Belt warning light to turn OFF.
3. Within 60 seconds of starting engine, unbuckle and then re-buckle driver's seat belt at least 3 times, ending with belt buckled.
4. Turn off the engine. A single chime will sound to signify that your life is in your own hands.

Interesting indeed. Do you go through this process again to reactivate the chime?

Re: Little Tricks/Hidden Features...

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and currently have 2006 Laredo and planning to get 2011 White Overland with Saddle interior V-6, 4X4, ACC, Nav, Sunroof, but I can't find one. Any ideas where I can get one in California?
