Losing power when turning

I have a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and when turning out from driveways and turning on roads it is like my Jeep just loses all power. It just don't want to go and then after a couple seconds it takes off. It does not do this when straight line accelerating just when turning and not all the time. Just enough to be bothersome. Does anyone here know what this could be?

What motor do you have? 2WD or AWD/4WD?

First guess would be that the stability or traction control system is kicking in. Are you seeing the icon of the yellow car with swervy lines behind it appearing on the dash?

I have the 3.7 AWD. I have not seen the yellow car with lines behind.

Re: Losing power when turning

I have the 3.7L and this has happened to me ever since I got it 5 years ago. It only happens when I turn right though. I believe I read somewhere that it might have something to do with the fuel in the tank shifting.
