Re: ?? manual transmission??

cool idea, I've never heard of WK or WH with standard transmission. Where are you getting it from? A RAM?

I am sure you can fit one in there, but I doubt it would work.

The more thorough answer is anything is possible - it's all about the cost. Years ago I remember hearing about a guy that bought his wife a lambo...she never learned to drive stick, so he spent another 60K putting in an auto trans.

If there was a manual version of the WK, it would be more feasible since there would be all of the necessary electronics available. Since there is no manual model, you'll get into all sorts of problems and having a lot of custom fabrication to get things to fit and a lot of custom ECU / PCU programming to get it to work.

If you end up being successful, you'll have a one of a kind vehicle that is far less reliable, less sale-able, and one that will be virtually un-serviceable by anyone other than the person that built it.

So, sure you can do it, but IMO it would make far more sense just to by something with a stick to begin with.

...though I do agree, it would be cool if it were not such a daunting mod!
