memory seat problem

I have a 2009 Grand Cherokee Limited. I am having a isssue with my memory system. If I press either the number 1 or number 2 button a message shows up in the instrument panel that says "memory system disabled." Can anyone tell me how to enable the mamory system. The owners manual is not helpful. Thanks for your help.

Louie

Re: memory seat problem

welcome to jeep garage! check under the seat to make sure all the wires are plugged in, the is a box under there that controls the memory. also try unplugging the negative terminal for a few minutes.

Re: memory seat problem

There is a button in between the "1" and "2" that protrudes slightly, press that first then press the number.

Took me a while to figure that out as well.

Re: memory seat problem

Middle button first to store the memory or 1 or 2 to recall memory but must be in Park with the seat belt off!!
