Re: Need help please!

What is the $1,650 for?

Have the dealership save a sample! and save your receipt from the gas station!

I think you live in Michigan by your location The D

As for the fuel station contact:

CONSUMER COMPLAINTS TOLL-FREE HOTLINE CALL 1-800-MDA-FUEL

or

Michigan's Motor Fuels Quality program at (517) 655-8202.

The Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development receives over 1,000 complaints against retail motor fuel stations every year. Poor quality motor fuel is one of the significant causes for consumer complaints. Selling substandard motor fuel will make the station liable for substantial fines and/or prosecution under Michigan law.

Re: Need help please!

I called the EPA, the BBB, and a lawyer. Also called insurance co and the owner of the gas station. The insurance co and the owner are sending out adjusters/mechanics to test the full tank of gas and see what their mechanics say and if they agree with McInerney Jeep's mechanics. The dealer is dropping the tank, discarding contaminated gas, replacing fuel pump/filter, purging the lines, full tune-up on the Hemi, oil change, and because I tried to work on it Tuesday and did multiple attempts to start it... I killed the battery.

Dealer said there is water in the cylinders, in my oil pan (not sure how), and everywhere else that the gas touches. At this point, if I don't have to pay the bill, I don't care how much it is. I just want my Jeep to run as well as it did prior to this and I want it to be safe for my wife, my daughter (4yr), and my son (18mnths) to drive in. But I know deep down it won't be the same. Sad but true, I probably take better care of my Jeep than myself. And for this to happen is complete BS!!!

Apparently this gas station (Mobil on Pennsylvania and Fort Street in Riverview) as well as another one (Mobil on Eureka and Telegraph in Taylor) have recently had complaints. The one went to in Riverview I know has had 5 complaints. The one in Taylor which is probably less than 10 miles away has gotten 40 complaints. Both Mobils are owned and operated by Bill Saad with Michigan Fuels.

I called the station yesterday after the initial shock of the cause and cost and spoke to the clerk. I said you MFr's are getting sued. He asked me why and I told him that the gas they are selling is contaminated. He then asked me what I purchased and I told him Super... his response was... um, yeah we just found out we need new tanks. I drove by there and all of there pumps (1 thru 8) were marked out of service for Special and Super. I took pictures of the pumps and made my calls.

I put roughly 8 gallons of Super and thank God I used my credit card. So now it's just a waiting game to see what this MFing owner does to remedy this situation. If he even does...

My fear is my Jeep is going to never be the same and that this BS is going to start a chain reaction of BS repairs with it.

OK I'm done with my rant. Thank you everyone for your feedback and support. Punisher thanks for the info.

Re: Need help please!

you certainly cant be the only one, call your local paper or tv station maybe they wanna do a story on it like one of those seven on youre side deals call some other local repair shops and see if others have the same probl;ems good luck

and for what its worth i know youre mad but try and be civil when you speak to station owner anger just makes them more defensive

Re: Need help please!

Dude. You don't know how happy I am to here the feedback. You seem like the average hard worker with only one household auto, kids, wife, and all that shit. I don't like to see some completely without a car. It sucks. A female friend of mine I'm sitting next to right now has a car that's inoperative due to a bad transmission. She is a hard working single parent and college student. Sucks.

I hope it all works out.

True Story: A friend of mine was working for a tire company and driving the company truck delivering tires when a tire on the truck blew out. It caused a bad wreck. He is now penalized from the waist down. The company was sued. I don't know how much he got because I never asked (I'm no douche bag). He did tell me that they paid him a shit load of money to not tell people the name of the name of the company.

So...maybe you shouldn't post the name of the gas stations. You might get paid extra for that. Lol.

Re: Need help please!

I surely hope that all works out for YOU AND your FAMILY's SATISFACTION. Vehicles today are an expensive necessary means of transportation that can occasionally fail as we all know. Resolution is called warranty if in place. In this case however, the situation is beyond the ownewer's control and should aptly and fairly be resolved by the offending perputrators. Please keep us all posted as this is going to be a messy situation and we never know when we will be in the same sh*ty situation. Good luck.
