Re: Need help please!
I called the EPA, the BBB, and a lawyer. Also called insurance co and the owner of the gas station. The insurance co and the owner are sending out adjusters/mechanics to test the full tank of gas and see what their mechanics say and if they agree with McInerney Jeep's mechanics. The dealer is dropping the tank, discarding contaminated gas, replacing fuel pump/filter, purging the lines, full tune-up on the Hemi, oil change, and because I tried to work on it Tuesday and did multiple attempts to start it... I killed the battery.
Dealer said there is water in the cylinders, in my oil pan (not sure how), and everywhere else that the gas touches. At this point, if I don't have to pay the bill, I don't care how much it is. I just want my Jeep to run as well as it did prior to this and I want it to be safe for my wife, my daughter (4yr), and my son (18mnths) to drive in. But I know deep down it won't be the same. Sad but true, I probably take better care of my Jeep than myself. And for this to happen is complete BS!!!
Apparently this gas station (Mobil on Pennsylvania and Fort Street in Riverview) as well as another one (Mobil on Eureka and Telegraph in Taylor) have recently had complaints. The one went to in Riverview I know has had 5 complaints. The one in Taylor which is probably less than 10 miles away has gotten 40 complaints. Both Mobils are owned and operated by Bill Saad with Michigan Fuels.
I called the station yesterday after the initial shock of the cause and cost and spoke to the clerk. I said you MFr's are getting sued. He asked me why and I told him that the gas they are selling is contaminated. He then asked me what I purchased and I told him Super... his response was... um, yeah we just found out we need new tanks. I drove by there and all of there pumps (1 thru 8) were marked out of service for Special and Super. I took pictures of the pumps and made my calls.
I put roughly 8 gallons of Super and thank God I used my credit card. So now it's just a waiting game to see what this MFing owner does to remedy this situation. If he even does...
My fear is my Jeep is going to never be the same and that this BS is going to start a chain reaction of BS repairs with it.
OK I'm done with my rant. Thank you everyone for your feedback and support. Punisher thanks for the info.
