Angry new problem

hard to explain but here it goes,basically when im at wot it seems to have a little hesitation and its like im not getting all the power at one time,kinda feels like its surging,but when i push the throttle a little bit then hammer it all the way down down its a rocket,basically if i floor it i have a problem but if i feather it to wot its perfect,
i have 08 5.7 new plugs oil change,new pcv and throttle body cleaned about 8000 mi ago,no codes,5 20 oil,im just confused????

Sounds like maybe a bad EGR to me. Change that yet?

I have this issue too i have the 3.7l so it's never a rocket lol but I've notcied it's sluggish to respond if I hit the gas hard ESP when passing someone on the throughway and stuff it like takes a little bit to realize I'm trying to speed up but if I gradually speed up it's fine interested to know what this might be from I always thought thats how it's supposed to be

im not sure,did the key dance,nothing,have not changed the egr-how can i tell if its bad without replacing it,i have 55,000 mi,as for the traction control thing it will do it on dry pavement,i dont think it have enough power to kick it in,the light doesnt flash and i havent done it from a dead stop either, always rolling when its wot,and it doesnt act like tc,the hesitation isnt as aggresive as when the tc will kick in

I don't think there's a definitive way to check the egr, but others with similar mileage have replaced it with great results

A scanner with the ability to watch EGR valve Actual vs. Commanded positions and EGR error will tell you if it is working. My DashDAQ XL will do it. Think some of the others will also (ScanGauge II?).

At 55K miles, the EGR valve is probably shot anyway. Mine went at 45K miles, as have others around the 50K miles mark.

thanks walt,i dont have access to a scanner,i would love to try it myself but i think id f**k something up,im not to keen on cutting that bolt,my ? is how hard is it to take the alt bracket off

Shouldnt be that bad, its just a few bolts, just pay attention to how it comes off for when you put it back on. If you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself, go to a reputable mechanic!
