Would love to know which one and the best way to diagnose it!
It is difficult to explain how to diagnose if you have never worked as a mechanic. It is more of a "feel" thing. I'll attempt to break it down:
-If the drone is constant but increases with speed it may be a wheel bearing, pinion bearing, driveshaft bearing (if applicable).
-If the drone increases when accelerating or decelerating it might be the ring and pinion mesh or differential bearings.
-If the drone only occurs when doing tight turns, it is the spider gears and/or friction plates in the differential.
Your best bet is to remove the rear diff cover and have a look in there. Hope this helps!
