Newbie: 09 CG Limited blowing cold on passenger side

Hi All,
First post here. This weekend I noticed that with the heat cranked I was only getting heat from the drivers side. Passenger side is blowing cold no matter what. I dont notice coolant on the floor. Do you think this is a heater core issue (how can i tell?) or do you think this is an actuator or blend door issue? Really dont want to pay the dealership for this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like the blend door. If you search the forum you will find this discussed at great length (including what needs to be done to fix it).

Re: Newbie: 09 CG Limited blowing cold on passenger side

Thanks. I have done extensive searching and have seen the bit about the actuator. That seems straight forward but is there a way to confirm that is the issue? I cant find anything on replacing the blend doors on the WK so any direction would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I've run into this issue before and had to re-calibrate the blend doors to fix the issue. This will only work if your blend door is not broken or jammed, but you can give it a shot to see if it works.

1) Turn the ignition to the On position.
2) Turn the blower motor speed control to the Off position.
3) Press and hold the rear defrost mode switch down and then turn the blower motor control on.
4) Continue to hold the rear defrost mode switch down until the status indicator begins flashing. Then, release the mode switch.
5) While the test/function is running, the defrost status indicator will flash once per second . If the test/function passes. the defrost status indicator will stop flashing. However, if the test/function fails, the A/C and defrost status indicators will flash alternately. Faults detected will display when checking for DTCs in the A/C-heater control.

While the test is being performed, you will hear the blend doors and actuators cycling to find their home positions. After the test stops, which usually takes about 30-90 seconds, try the heat again and see if that fixes your issue.

Thanks Brianc500. I couldn't get this test to work. Rear defrost indicator never started blinking. Anyway, I do hear a bit of a clicking noise on the passenger side when I turn the key to the on position. Thinking either actuator or that gear I've read about.

May not be the same calibration procedure for the 09's as it is in the 05's. If you can find how to re-calibrate your system, I think that may solve your issue.
