Oil Pressure Sending Unit 2007 Hemi 5.7L

Where is the oil pressure sending unit on a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi engine? I received engine code P0524.

I found it. If you have a skid plate, you need to remove it. It is located under the oil filter a few inches towards the rear of the jeep. The part costs about $50. To replace it - there is a red switch that needs to be clicked to the other side and then in-front of that switch is a lip, with a flat head screw driver you can lift up and pull out the connecting wires. Unscrew the oil pressure sending unit (switch) with a wrench, replace it, reconnect the plastic parts and you should be good to go.

Did you have to drain the pan for that? or was it just plug&play?
