Oscillating "Woosh" noise from tires

Hey guys was hoping I could get some feedback on a problem I have reoccuring with my 2005 WK Quadra 2. For some reason I have noticed that there is this rythmatic wooshing noise whent he tires roll forward. I dont know if its the tire sidewall that is stretching when rolling forward but its constant and it gets louder once I have been driving it and its warmed up. Sound seems to be coming from the rear tires also. I have the tire PSI at 33 PSI and I dont know if it is actually the tires making this noise when they get stretched or if its a ball bearing or something that has to do with the suspension on the vehicle. Any help would be appreciated.

Age, type, condition of your tires? My yoko ats are about half worn and are getting noisier. The sound changes on different road surfaces.

Go see if you can find some smooth asphalt and then concrete to drive on at speed to see if it comes and goes.

Re: Oscillating "Woosh" noise from tires

These tires came on the vehicle when I bought it about a month ago. I believe they are goodyears about 50-60% tread left getting older. The thing is when I drive on any surface asphalt, concrete, dirt, and grass it still makes the same noise! im hoping its not the bearing going out. could it be the brakes rubbing on the rotors if they are warped a bit?

Re: Oscillating "Woosh" noise from tires

on my stock-ish sized tires i found 38# to work best for me. it might effect the sound a little if they are slowly/gently bouncing or rolling (up and down squishing of the tire)
