Outside mirrors do not remember memory positions

2002 Grand Cherokee Limited mirrors do not retain their programmed positions. I must adjust both sides everytime I use the remote to unlock the doors. The right turns down to look at the ground and the right swings out looking at the highway divider.
Any ideas as to whats wrong?
