Re: Please help!! My wk is acting up

Some things to check are the IAC (idle air controller), TPS (throttle position sensor), or for a small vacuum leak somewhere. I had a 4.7 in my 2000 GC and once found the tube from the PCV valve had come loose. (It's on top and at the vary back of the engine). It did not cause the effect you describe, but shows you that "things" happen. Good luck.

Re: Please help!! My wk is acting up

Likely your throttle postion sensor (is everyone getting as tired of seeing this typed as I am of typing it?). VERY common on the 4.7l. To know if it is the very least contributing to the problem start the car, pop the hood, grab the Throttle Position Sensor between 2 fingers at the connector (still connected) and jiggle around. Its obviously not going to move as its mounted firmly you just want to apply pressure in different directions. If your idle speed goes crazy AS you do this then replace the TPS.
